Montpelier and Cameroon defender, Ambroise Oyongo has backed the Indomitable Lions to qualify from their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying group that comprises heavyweights Ivory Coast, Mozambique and Malawi.
Cameroon and Ivory Coast have been drawn in World Cup qualifying group D, meaning one of the African soccer power houses  won’t make the 2022 showpiece tournament in Qatar.
The Indomitable Lions are the continent’s leading lights at the Mundilal, having represented Africa at a record seven World Cups, while Ivory Coast have featured in three tournaments.

According to the talented left-full back, ”I believe that as the Indomitable Lions that we have what it takes to qualify from our group..We are the Lions of African football and other teams should beware of us.
”I know it would not be easy but we are going to work hard to get the victories that will enable us go through”, added Oyongo.
Oyongo and his Indomitable Lions teammates will get their World Cup qualification campaign running in October and the winners of the 10 groups will be drawn into two-legged playoffs to decide the final five sides that will represent the  continent  at Qatar 2022 World Cup.
The qualifiers were initially set to start next month but the Confederation of African Football postponed them after re-arranging the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations from a June kick-off to a January one.
