Super Eagles central defender Olisa Ndah led PSL club Orlando Pirates to an impressive 2-0 victory over La Liga side Sevilla on Monday in the South African giants’ tour of Spain.
Ndah and international teammate Chidera Ejuke started for Pirates and Sevilla respectively at the Estadio Jesús Navas with both players substituted before the second half began.
Sevilla came out strong, dominating possession in the opening moments of the match, but Pirates responded with some threatening chances of their own.
Relebohile Mofokeng swung in a corner which defensive midfielder Miguel Timm converted to give the Buccaneers the lead on the 21st minute.
As Sevilla kept mounting pressure, Orlando Pirates remained solid, going into the halftime with the 1-0 lead.
Sevilla came out in the second half looking for the equaliser but Pirates remained resolute, looking composed on the ball and springing passes as they moved forward.
Attacking midfielder Kabelo Dlamini doubled the South African side’s lead in the 82nd minute with a brilliantly executed strike from outside the box, which saw the Buccaneers eventually walk away with the 2-0 win.
